If you run an online store, a terms and conditions document is very important.  The terms and condition document is a set of rules and guidelines that a user must agree to when they use your website and online store. Also, many payment gateways, such as Authorize.net, require that you post a terms and condition document on your website. It’s very easy to add terms and conditions to WooCommerce…if you know where to look.

The following procedure explains how to add terms and conditions in WooCommerce.

  1. Create a terms and conditions document: go to Pages > Add New and create a terms and conditions document. Click here for a free Add Terms and Conditions WooCommerce document.
If you use the example document, make sure you replace the following variables with your company information: {your company}, {your email}, {your address}.
  2. Save and publish the Terms and Conditions page.
  3. Specify your terms and conditions page in the WooCommerce settings:
Go to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Checkout
  4. In the Terms and conditions page list, select the terms and conditions page you just created.
  5. Click Save to save the WooCommerce settings.
  6. To test your terms and conditions link, add a product to the cart and then go to the checkout page. You will see the Terms and Conditions link and checkbox at the bottom of the cart page.
